What is the cost?

Fee's start at $300 depending on amount of work needed and baldness pattern. It’s very easy to get a quote by sending your pictures (front, side & top view please) to MisPaashion@gmail.com.  We also offer financing options if needed.

How long does the procedure take?

Our procedure usually takes about 3-5 hours per session. We offer a 1 year guarantee for any fading that would require a touch-ups, and a lifetime guarantee of 50% off any additional treatments desired after the first year.

Will the pigment fade?

Fading can be minimized with the use of sun block & proper aftercare. Fading will varies from person to person depending on many factors including sun exposure, medication etc. If fading occurs over a long period of time, feel free to set up an appointment for a touch-up procedure.

Does it matter what color my hair is?

We are experienced professionals at matching colors. We have pigments to match any hair follicle. We use specialized pigments that allow us to customize & create any color.

What is the earliest date that you are available for consultation?

Consultations are booked based on availability of the technician & the client.

For those who are not in close proximity, email or text your images for a quick consult.  Phone/email consultations are a great way to have your questions answered from the comfort of your home.

If things go well, how soon after the consultation can the procedure be done?

Consultations often lead to next day procedures. These appointments are based on the availability of the technician.

We strive to accommodate all clients and can usually schedule procedures within a 7 days of your initial consultation.

How many days am I required to wait in-between sessions?

Every procedure package comes with 2-3 sessions.

The first session creates an outline & creates the perception of hair follicles spread out throughout the entire scalp. The second session fills in the density & allows room for small adjustments to the hairline.

When needed, the final third session is scheduled within a month of the first procedure. During this final procedure, we create a 3D layering effect, fill in and darken any areas that are necessary, & make sure everything is evenly distributed & looks realistic.

Procedures are usually scheduled 7 days apart to allow time for healing.

How are your needles different from tattoo needles?

Our needles are 75% smaller than standard tattoo needles. We create the most natural hair follicles out of any competitor in the business.

How long does the scalp take to fully heal after the procedure?

Usually, your scalp should be fully healed within 10 days after your procedure. We provide post care guidelines that should be followed for the first 10 days.  After that, please remember to use high SPF Sunblock daily.

Do you offer some sort of guarantee of satisfaction?

We provide 2-3 sessions within every package. If there are any concerns our clients would like to address before, during, and after their procedure, we will be happy to address accordingly.

I want my hair to look uniform when it is razor shaved. Will I need my entire head done with SMP to achieve this look?

The look that we create for you is one that will be blended into your current hair.

When should I shave my head leading up to the day of the procedure? And how?

For those who are bald, we suggest shaving it with a razor the day before your procedure.

For those who are very thin, we recommend buzz trimming the day of your procedure, or shaving with a razor 2-3 days before.

You may grow it out even longer if you have more hair.

How is the 3D look achieved?

The 3D effect uses lighter pigments during the first session, slightly darker pigments during the second session, then a "scattering" of a much darker pigment is skillfully placed during the final session (second or third session).

Depending on the clients individual treatment plan, this "scattering" could take place during the second session, or the third if one is required. In some cases these darker pigments are used during more than one session.

How long do I have to wait until shaving my head?

Until day 7. We recommend an electric foil shaver.

How long do I have to wait to shave with a razor?

We recommend waiting at least a 7 days.  This is because your scalp is "repairing" itself and you would not want to interfere with the body’s natural healing process.

What if my scalp is dry?

If the technician notices your scalp is dry they will recommend a moisturizing regime, which will begin 7 days after your procedure.

I have a pool/hot tub when is it okay to expose my head to chlorine?

Please wait until at least 14 days after your procedure date.

What is the difference between scalp micropigmentation and a regular head tattoo?

Although it may be referred to as a hair tattoo, our pigments (not ink) do not change color after application. The needles are inserted into the dermis portion of skin, which limits ink spread. We also use single-use hand crafted needles which are 75% smaller than the needles that are used for tattoos.  We are specifically certified & trained to duplicate hair follicles.

Will anyone be able to tell I have had this treatment done?

The look we provide is amazingly authentic & realistic. Unless you tell people, they probably would have no clue.  It actually makes you look much younger once you restore the hairline.

 

What is the pain level?

The pain level for most clients is 2 or 3 out of 10. Men & women who may have scarring from hair transplants (FUE), or accidents tend to have a little more discomfort due to sensitivity from the current scar tissue.

How many 'hairs' are achieved in each treatment?

25,000 to 55,000 hair follicle replications.

 

What is the estimated price range of this treatment?

Prices that start at $250 for a scars and up to $9,999 for an individual who needs a full head with no hair at all.

Most of our clients have a horseshoe pattern and need a hairline, top, sides & blending. These jobs usually range between $4,000 - 7,500.00 & are based on the specific needs of each client.

Do you reuse needles?

We NEVER EVER reuse our needles, they are all single-use needles.

ABSOLUTELY Every client receives a new needle at EVERY session.

Can this procedure work on fair skinned people with light brown or blonde hair?

Yes. Since we custom blend our colors, we are able to match hair color whether blonde, red, brown or black!

Will I be able to do a 0 or 1 buzz, or do I need to razor shave daily to keep things realistic?

The two most popular lengths are 0 or 1 guard but we do often have clients who prefer to razor-shave or foil-shave on their scalp. This really is a personal preference.

Do I need to shave my head before the procedure?

Your hair should be cut 24 hours before the procedure.

When should I first expose my head to direct strong sunlight?

Please wait at least 1 month (30 days) after your procedure date. We also recommend that you use a sunscreen with SPF 50, or greater, at ALWAYS for maintenance.

I noticed a slight shine, what anti-shine product do you recommend?

Milk of Magnesia  is a great alternative product.

When can I first wash my head?

5 days following your procedure, you can wash your head with water ONLY - very gently please. Wait 7 days before using any products like shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, etc.

My job requires physical labor, will sweating interfere with my healing? Can I go to the gym and workout?

We recommend that you do not sweat until at least 5 days after your procedure. After that, you can sweat lightly, and heavy sweating is ok by day 10.

Can scalp micropigmentation disguise scars?

Yes, we blend the scar with surrounding hair so that it looks much less noticeable.

How will I look immediately after the procedure?

There will be redness for the first day after treatment. The duration depends usually on your skin type. The pigments initial color will appear darker than the “cured” result, which can take up to 1-2 weeks.

This means your head will look darker than normal for a week or two following your treatment, until the ink starts settling in to give you a more natural look.

 

What will make my procedure fade?

The answer to this question lies in the individual makeup of each person’s DNA, sun exposure and daily lifestyle. The sun will have a very big impact on the life of the procedure and your individual dermal collagen micro structure as well. Your genetic code has a lot to do with this as well, such as oils in your tissues & the chemical bonds in your skin tissues. Long term sunlight radiation breaks down ink and the pigment will dissolve into the skin. This could be the difference between your procedure lasting 10 years or only lasting 2 years due excessive sun exposure.

This is why we strongly suggest using a strong, quality facial/head sunblock. It is also the rejuvenation of your skin, your cycle of scabbing, how long it takes your tissues to heal themselves and much more. You have to understand that your body sees our pigment as a foreign object & naturally wants to reject it.

The collagen micro structure acts different for each person, either fading away faster or slower 7 days after the first procedure. This is why we require 2-3 procedures to ensure full coverage due to different variables.

 

Will this procedure need to be redone later to fill in spaces as I continue to lose more hair? If so, how much would it cost?

Every person is different, & will see different results. For those who are worried about continued hair loss, we stand behind our work & will work to make sure all clients are satisfied. Any touch ups would be 50% off within 10 years.

If after treatment, I am unhappy, mistakes need to be fixed, additional work needs to be done, or a touch up is in order, etc… How much would this cost?

Every client is guaranteed 2-3 visits within their standard package. If there are concerns with your final results we will address them accordingly to ensure complete satisfaction at no additional cost. We will make sure you are completely satisfied with your results!

 

 

Once I shave my head, my scalp will be very "pale" compared to my face. Will tanning my head to even up skin tone affect my service?

Do NOT tan before your treatment! Tanning will toughen the skin & make it extremely difficult to get your skin to absorb the pigment. The service itself will counter act any "pale" appearance. We like to work on skin in its most natural state & that means the less irritated the better. Before adding any pigment we will take into consideration your natural skin tone & hair color & create a look that is custom to you.
